Łukasz Sawicki

M. in Political Science, Counselor in the Department of Nuclear Energy at the Ministry of Industry, member of the Polish Nuclear Society and the European Nuclear Society
Łukasz is in the nuclear industry and power economics since 2006, including 15 years in Polish government administration. He specializes in business models for nuclear power plants, including SaHo model. He is author and co-author of about 20 papers on the economic aspects of nuclear power and the impact of the nuclear industry on the Polish economy. He is lecturer of postgraduate studies "Nuclear Power" at Warsaw School of Economics and at Wrocław University of Technology.

Roman Voronov

MSc in Applied Mathematics, Director of Lithuanian Nuclear Energy Association
Roman Voronov has 28 years of experience in the nuclear energy sector specializing in nuclear decommissioning and radioactive waste management. He has contributed to major projects across Lithuania, Slovakia, and Estonia, including the design and construction of radioactive waste management facilities, dismantling of nuclear facilities' equipment. He has done feasibility studies and risk analysis for reactors' dismantling and radioactive waste disposal facilities. He has consulted regulatory authorities, participated in an IAEA mission in Turkey, and offers consultancy services in nuclear decommissioning and waste conditioning.

Aidan Morrison

B.S. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, Director of Energy Research at Centre for Independent Studies of Australia
Aidan Morrison is data scientist with postgraduate academic qualifications in physics, and work experience spanning academic research, technology start-ups, as well as contracting to large corporates. Aidan is leading research into energy systems from an Australian perspective, in particular the most economically viable means to transition to low-carbon economy, incorporating full-system cost analysis and modelling. He has done research in public policy with focus on energy systems and defence.

Matti Paljakka

M.Sc.Eng., Solution Sales Lead of Nuclear Energy at Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT)
Matti Paljakka works at VTT in a sales role, assisting customers to find the right experts and offering within VTT and beyond. Matti's responsibilities include new nuclear technologies – both fusion and fission – newbuild project support and plant life management. Matti also works as VTT's contact concerning the Apros software for the modelling, analysis and dynamic simulation of power plants, energy systems and industrial processes.

Ph.D. in energy economics, co-founder and CEO of Fermi Energia.
He has been working in private and public sector in Estonian private energy company, Ministry of Economic Affairs as deputy director of Geological Survey of Estonia and as Member of Parliament of Estonia. Is author of several publications regarding to energy production and economy.

Tālis Juhna

Dr.Sc.Ing., Rector of Riga Technical University (RTU), Academician of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
Tālis Juhna has developed and improved the strategy of the RTU science and innovation system, has created an international bachelor's study program "Biotechnology and Bioengineering", which is jointly implemented by RTU and the University of Latvia. He has developed Water Research Laboratory, which conducts research on drinking water purification, distribution systems, water quality and the spread of microbial biofilm in the network. Tālis has written more than 100 scientific works published in Latvian, Russian and English, including 5 scientific monographs and 8 patents. He is the author of several textbooks and has supervised several doctoral theses.

Oļegs Linkevičs

Dr.Sc.Ing., Professor at Riga Technical University
Olegs conducted research in power plant and microgrid operation modeling and development of modeling algorithms. He is author of 55 scientific publications. He participated in Visagina NPP project working group and in trainings of different nuclear reactor technology developers. He provides training for students in the basics of energy, electricity generation and transmission, power stations and substations. Olegs is member of VGB Power Tech e.V. technical council and working group of the EURELECTRIC Association.

Dr.Habil.Sc.Ing. Professor at Institute of Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Energy
Antans is professional in the field of power engineering, with a rich background in research, project management, and academic leadership. Author of 300 scientific publications.  Recognized for expertise in power systems stability, emergency automation, and economics. Has proven track record of successfully leading and contributing to numerous projects funded by prestigious entities such as the European Commission and national energy industry.

Romāns Petričenko

Dr.Sc.Ing. is an Associate Professor and Lead Researcher at the Institute of Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Energy of Riga Technical University
Romāns has been engaged in scientific and research work for more than 15 years, specializing in the analysis of smart energy systems control and automation, the assessment of rational operation of the energy system, and the mathematical forecasting of energy systems. He has been engaged in the study of the power balance of Latvia and the Baltic States, the forecasting of short-term and long-term time processes, as well as the forecasting of the necessary parameter components (Daugava HPP, Kruonis AHP, TEC, wind and solar generation) using polynomial models, artificial neural networks, etc. MATLAB model development.

Diāna Žalostība

Dr.Sc.Ing., senior researcher and associate professor at the Institute of Industrial Electronics, Electrical and Power Engineering at Riga Technical University.
Diāna has extensive experience in energy system modelling, operation, and planning, wher she specializes in smart grids, energy transition, and anti-emergency measures. She has contributed to numerous national and international research and innovation projects focused on renewable energy integration, energy sector decarbonization, and the implementation of emerging technologies through advanced modelling and data-driven solutions.

Andris Kulbergs

B. in International Business. Member of the Parliament of Latvia.
Was Chairman of Environmental, Climate and Energy Subcommittee of the Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee of the Parliament. Before being elected in 2022, Andris was the chairman of the board of SIA "VK Development" and the association "Automotive Association", as well as a member of the Council of Employers' Confederation of Latvia.

Kaspars Melnis

Bachelor of Transport Construction, Master of Management. Minister of Climate and Energy of the Republic of Latvia
Mr. Kaspars Melnis is a politician with extensive experience in local politics — he was a member of the Rezekne Municipality Council and member of the 14th Saeima, representing the political party "Union of Greens and Farmers". The Minister was a board member of the Latvian Farmers' Union and the Cooperation Council of Farmers' Organizations, as well as chairman of the board of the Association of Livestock Farms.

Līga has been the deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Economy for energy issues and the director of the Energy Department of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, researcher at the Energy Institute of Riga Technical University and the head of the Data Analysis Group of Augstsprieguma tīkls (High Voltage Network).

Agris is also member of the Consultative Financial Market Council of the Bank of Latvia.
